Dutch paddle steamship 3rd class Zr. Ms. Hekla visited Moluccas and Timor, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated Thursday 21 August 1851

An item reported that the Dutch steamship Zr. Ms. Hekla steamed towards the Moluccas, Dutch East Indies and the islands underway that course. On 23rd April was Surabaya, Dutch East Indies left and arrived on the 27th at Makasser to bunker coal. On 5th May was she lying off Boeton, Dutch East Indies where it became known that the population was harassed by cholera. On the 10th arrived she off Amboina, Dutch East Indies where the populations was harassed by ever. On the 17th was Amboina left and 3 days was Timor Koepang, Dutch East Indies reached where coal was bunkered. The 26th was Koepang left and via Straits Lombok and Madura steamed towards Surabaya where she arrived on the 31st.(1)
