A list of vessels hired by the German Kriegsmarine or for the Black Sea available vessels dated Vienna, Austria 29 January 1944 reported that the Kriegsmarine already hired the Bayerische Lloyd (BL) tug Ulm with as horsepower 350 hp; in pencil 29 June 1944. A list dated 23 March 1944 reported that she was Germany-flagged, fitted out with 1-200 hp steam engine, dimensions 34,58 x 6,17 x 1,50 metres and as speed 5 miles.
