The trawlers building numbers 307 and 308 were destined for the war against Russia and to be rebuilt as Vorpostboote. This rebuilding was done at Flushing [must be the Schelde]. Both work boats were destined for service at the Eastern Front. They were in fact floating plants fitted out with a foundry, forge and lathes. Further more were 150 tons crane truck, a welding shop and a carpenters place. The first work boat was to serve as an ocean going store ship able to repair submarines, the second was towed towards Germany to be completed. There were also three destroyers ordered, two partly assembled to again disassembled and apparently transport elsewhere. The yard also rebuilt freighters as sperrbrechers, made 1,500 paravans for minesweeping and rebuilt around 150 lighters as landing vessels by removing fore and aft end and fitting out with landing flaps.
