Escaped German crew members of the German merchant ship Windrijk arrested according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 7 March 1942

An item reported that 50 miles from Santos, Brazil 10 of the 11 escaped German crew members of the Windrijk were arrested. One men drowned during a storm off Praia Grunde. The German vice consul and ‘other persons’ who helped the sailors were arrested.
