Brazilian protected cruiser Benjamin Constant visiting Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1913

The Benjamin Constant visited Amsterdam for the birthday of the Dutch queen Wilhelmina.
In fact a cruiser classified as a training ship despite her armament of 4-6" guns, 8-4.7" guns2-12pdr, 2-1pdrs. 2 revolvers and 4 torpedo tubes. Laid down at F C de la Méditerranée, La Seyne, France on 18 November 1891, launched on 11 October 1892 and completed in April 1894. Disarmed in March 1926With a displacement pf 2.750 tons were her dimensions 236'6"x 44'6" x 18'6" (maximum) or 72,09 x 13,56 x 5,64 metres. The armour consisted of a 2" thick deck while the conning tower was protected by 3¼" thick armour. Speed 14-15 knots.
