The building of the Dutch bark ship Straat Sunda at Capella aan de IJssel, Netherlands according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 23 August 1837

Tidings from Rotterdam, Netherlands reported that 18 August at Capelle aan de IJssel, Netherlands with success the bark ship Straat Sunda of circa 400 tons was launched by shipbuilders W. en J. Hoogendijk en Comp. She was built for account of Gebrs. Hendrichs en Comp. of Amsterdam and destined for the Dutch East Indies trade.
