The French navy off the Spanish coast according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 10 September 1823

Barcelona, 30 August. The 60-gun frigate la Marie Therese joined 26 August the squadron. Captain Rosamel became her commanding officer while captain de Cheffontaines became in his place commanding officer of the 44-gun frigate la Junon. Frigate captain Lemoine replaced the latter as commanding officer of the corvette la Victorieuse. The le Cuirassier which left 27 August to Toulon returned this morning (10 September) and was immediately sent to Tarragona to join the corvette l’Ariège, goelette la Jacinthe and the aviso le Levrier. This division was to support the movements of the troops, which blockaded the town at the North side. The gun chaloupe la Grenade seized a convoy of 52 vessels loaded with stores for the 4th corps of the army of the Pyrenees and which were brought from Port Vendre to Mattaro. A telegram from Toulon reported that the la Truite was to escort 20 ships from Marseille to Madera and that the la Lamproie was underway to Marseille to escort from there ships to Naples and the Levant.
