Italian troops landing in the harbour of Tripolis in 1911

The photo was originally published in the Dutch magazine De Prins dated 11 November 1911 page 235.

This landing was a result of the war between Turkey and Italy between 29 September 1911 and 18 October 1912 in which Italy got in her possession the former Ottoman provinces Tripolitania, Frezzan and Cyrenaica. These provinces formed what nowadays is known as Libya!
