Naples, 22 June. According to a tiding met a 36-gun royal frigate in the waters of Sicily a 18-gun privateer of Port Mahon which hoisted the Algerian flag. The privateer refused to surrender and hoisted the British while firing a broadside. Still after a battle of 5 hours the privateer had to surrender and her crew consisting of 200 men was taken prisoner and brought to Trapani.
