South Korean attack submarine Choi Museon (SS 063) 1993-


Launched on the yard of the Daewoo SY, Okpo, South Korea on 7 August 1993 and commissioned on 27 February 1995 using the German design type 209/1200 of which one was built at Kiel namely the Jang Bogo.With a displacement of 1,100 (surfaced)-1,285 (subermged) tons were her dimensions 56,10 x 6,20-7,60 (stern planes) x 5,50 (surfaced) metres. Her speed was 11 (surfaced)-22 (submerged) knots. The armament consisted of 8-53,3cm torpedo tubes in the bow and she could carry with her 14 torpedoes or 28 mines. The crew numbered 35 men although there was accommodation available for 4 men more. The surfaced range was 7,500 nautical miles by a speed of 8 knots, while snorkling 11,300 nautical miles with a speed of 4 knots and while submerged 466 nautical miles by a speed of 4 knots.
