Movements of the French and Brazilian navies off South America according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 3 September 1827

Paris, 30 August. In a letter send from Bahia, dated 22 Juny, was the arrival of the French frigate la Surveillante (1), coming from Rio de Janeiro mentioned. She left the latte place the 6th. At that moment the Brazilian 74-gun ship of the line Dom Pedro (2) was lying on the roads, destined to depart within two days with 400 soldiers towards the island Sta. Catharina.
