French destroyer le Terrible launched according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad evening edition dated 1 December 1933

At Caen was on 30 November French destroyer le Terrible launched with a displacement of 2.,600 ton and as dimensions 132 x 12,50 (maximum) metres. The engines supplied 80.000 hp allowing a speed of 40 knots. The armament consisted of 5-13,8cm guns, 4-3,7cm quick firing guns and 9 torpedo tubes. (1)

1. Laid down in 1931, commissioned on 1 May 1936, since March 1943 after large improvements reclassified as light cruiser, training ship at Brest since 1956 and broken up in June 1962. Of the Fantasque-class. During her trial in 1936 she reached a speed of 45,1 knots. The torpedo tubes were 3x3-44cm tubes.
