Arrival on 31 July from Greenland the Johannes commandeur Cornelis Pieters Quak, 2 whales, 35 quardelen, De Zoete Naam commandeur Jan Strop 1 whale, 70 quardelen, Margaretha commandeur Andries Cornelisse and the St. Andries commandeur Laurens Symons Quast both empty and from Strait Davis the Hollandia commandeur Andries Cornelisz with 11 whales and a full cargo hold of whale blubber. The Strait Davis whalers who arrived in the last four days brought back a rich catch which is remarkable while the whales in Strait Davis are usually larger as the whales in Greenland ? Total catch was 66 whales and 2,850 quardelen of whale blubber is a medium catch for each ship of 8¼ whales.
