Trieste, 26 May. The newspaper l’Osservatore Triestino published an item that a master, arrived after a short voyage coming from Zante that on this island rumours circulated that a French war schooner, while escorting 2 French ships, met 2 Greek vessels which tried to investigate the merchant ships. The French war schooner refused this even by shooting. The merchant ships seemed however to be captured.
