New tankers for the Standard Oil Company according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad evening edition dated 21 February 1920

The Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company was ordered to build 2 tankers of 20,500 tons for account of the Standard Oil Company of New-Jersey and which would be the largest tankers worldwide. Costs 3,500,000 dollar and to deliver begin 1921. At that moment were in the USA 55 tankers with a total capacity of 369,000 tons build against 34 at the end of January. The newspaper Het Centrum 23 February confirmed this tiding.
