Madrid, 16 June. According to letters from Lima dated 16 December [1817] which were received at Cadiz 28 May brought there with the frigate la Bella Marianna left 10 December 10 ships Lima with on board 3,900 men commanded by don Manuel Osorio to recapture Chile. Except for the frigate Esmeralda were the 10 ships all merchant ships.
