The Turkish and Egyptian navies in 1837 according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 30 May 1837

At Alexandria was 15 April a new ship of the line put on stocks, it’s the ninth within short time. Despite this enforcement the Egyptian navy is still smaller compared with the French in the Mediterranean.
