Spanish and Chilean naval movements off Chilean coast newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 19 February 1819

According to the an item dated London, 14 February reported the latest tidings from Cadiz  that the expedition send to Peru with exception for the transport Trinidad which entered the Silver River all ships arrived safely at Lima. Tidings received from South America supplied complete different information. At Buenos Ayres was in an extra newspaper a letter published of the Chilean general O. Higgins dated 8 November reporting that the Spanish warship Koningin Maria Isabella (1) of 50 guns and more as 700 men which escorted the convoy entered Talcagnano where she on 28 October was captured by the San Martin and the Lautaro. One of the best fitted out brigs of the Chilean squadron the Galverino was sent to sea to cruise for the transports.
