Soviet Union building a nuclear submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 12 September 1959

An item reported that admiral Hyman Rickover (1) recently stated a front of a Congress commission to have heard from the Soviet Union vice premier Frol Kozlof (2) that the Soviet Union started with the building of a nuclear submarine. Kozlof visited the USA some time before.

1. In the newspaper Amigoe di Curacao dated 22 August 1958 was reported that rear admiral Hyman Rickover received from the American Congress a special gold medallion with a value of 2,500 dollar as a reward for his part in the US navy nuclear physical research. Rickover was known as the father-founder of the nuclear submarine.
2. Frol Romavonich Kozlov (5 August 1908-30 January 1965), between 31 March 1958 and 4 May 1960 First Deputy of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union became he in 1960 Second Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union until 1963 and member of the Presidium between 29 June 1957 and 16 November 1964. He visited in June-July 1959 the USA including a visit to the Bohemian Grove encampment in the North California.
