Germany tried to sell freighters which seek refugee according to the Dutch newspaper De Indische Courant dated 11 November 1939

An item dated Rome 10 November reported that several German freighters fled to Trieste and offered for sale were not bought by Italian shipping companies. Instead tried German to sale the ships to Balkan countries in exchange for needed raw materials.
