An item referred to the British newspaper Daily Herald which reported that in the British arms industry at Sheffield all hands were on deck. The rumours that the British navy intended to built some new warships were confirmed by the manufacturing of armour plates at Sheffield for this order. The armour plate plants of the British steel factories were closed for several years but now making overtime.
