Yugoslavian torpedo boat T-8 (1916) 1920-1944




Former Austrian 97-F launched at shipyard of the Ganz-Danubius Co., Porte Ré, Fiume on 20 August 1916, transferred in 1920 to Yugoslavia and sunk on 10 September 1944. With a displacement of 266 tons and as dimensions 188.3 x 18.7 x 4.9 feet. The armament consisted of 2-6,6cm guns, 1 machine gun and 2-18” torpedo tubes. Coal bunker capacity of 20 tons and a fuel bunker capacity of 34 tons. Her turbines were designed to supply 5.000 hp allowing a speed of 28 knots. In the thirties the speed was decreased to just 24 knots.
