Dutch steamship Riouw sold to Italy according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 8 July 1933

An item reported that the Dutch steamship Riouw of 7,624 gross tons and building 1916 was sold by the Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland to Italy for as stated 6,500 pound sterling to be broken up.(1)

1. Built in 1914 at the shipyard of A.Mc.Millan&Son, Dubarton. International sign PRJL and callsign PHBN. Dimensions 450’1” x 55’11” x 35’6” (hold). Capacity cargo holds 504.375 cubic English feet, loading capacity included bunkers summer mark 10.400 tons of 1.016 kg, permanently bunker capacity 1.133 tons of 1.016 kg and capacity in tons of 2,83 cubic metres or 100 cubic feet 7.624 gross and 4.710 net.
