Dutch steamship Venezuela begun her last voyage according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Noorden dated 25 November 1937

An item dated Amsterdam 24 November reported that the Dutch steamship Venezuela of the Kon. Ned. Stoomboot Maatschappij used for many years on the Colon Lijn was to depart on 1 April 1938 with her last voyage after which she was to be replaced by the Pericles.(1) The Venezuela was build in 1906 and would probably be broken up. The newspaper Het Vaderland 20 May 1938 reported that she was indeed sold to be broken up in the Netherlands.
