Thais police vessels to be built by Dutch shipyards according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 17 April 1951

An item reported that the cabinet of Thailand ordered a ship designer of Haarlem, Netherlands to design three police vessels. After finishing the design were probably three shipyards asked to built the ships. Total coasts more as 1.000.000 Dutch guilders to be paid in dollars. The engines were to be manufactured by an American firm.(1)

1. The newspaper Leeuwarder courant dated 18 April confirmed this item adding that two former Thai navy officers were visiting the Netherlands investigating how the Dutch river police was organized.
