An item referred to the magazine Le Y. dated 26 October 1935 reporting that a Japanese midget submarine with as dimensions 11 x 1,83 metres especially designed for submerged surveys dived in the Bay of Sagami for 4,5 hours with a maximum depth of 60 metres. He was fitted out with a 25hp gasoline engine for the surface and a 12kW electro engine for submerged propulsion.
