German mine service strengthened according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Int. Revue des Ges. Flotten which reported that the personnel strength of the German mine service was increased with 209 men and now amounted excluded the officers of 645 warrant officers and sailors. There were now two divisions of each 12 torpedo boats in service which were used for mine hunting. Cuxhaven was home base for these divisions. In the same harbour was also the minelayer Nautilus stationed.
