Russian transport Okean built at Kiel, Germany according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1901-1902 no. 9

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that at the shipyard Holwaldt, Kiel, Germany the transport Okean with a displacement of 12.000 ton was laid down for Russian account. She ws to be used as training ship for drivers and stokers. Her crew numbered 730 men. With a coal bunker capacity of 4.000 ton was the range 10.000 miles.
