US Asiatic squadron in stead of the Chinese squadron according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1912-1013 no. 7

An item reported that the Chinese squadron was to be replaced by an Aistaic squadron consisting of fourth divisions to which were added the distillation vessel Rainbow and the harbour vessel Wompatuck. The 1st division consisted of the armoured cruiser Saratoga and the cruisers Albany and Cincinnati, the 2nd division of the gunboats Elcano, Helena, Quios, Samar and Villabos, the 3rd division of the gunboats Callao and Wilmington, the monitor Monterey and the harbour vessel and the 4th division of the monitor Monadnock and the harbour vessel Piscatagua.
