An item reported that a day earlier the crew of the German submarine C 8 with a torpedo boat was brought from Terschelling to Nieuwediep. From there they were to be transported to the intern camp at Bergen, Tidings claimed that the entire crew was crying when they left the submarine which was to be brought in the morning of the 8th to Den Helder. Another newspaper Bataviaasch Nieuwsblad of the 6th reported that a German submarine was slightly damaged when she was beached near the coast of Terschelling caused by a navigation error.
