An item dated Gouda the 5ht reported that the same day 25 gunboats passed coming from Amsterdam destined for Flushing, each armed with 2 guns and to be followed by a similar number.(1)

Admiraliteitsarchieven XLVII no. 17 (Asmus) at National Archive, The Hague, Netherlands reports that at Amsterdam between 1803 and 1804 68 flat-bottomed vessels, armed with 7 guns and as dimensions50’x 20’ x 6½’were built and further more 20-7gun gunboats with as dimensions 85½’x 21’ x 9 7/11’.
