Cadiz,
24 June. According to the private correspondence of the newspaper Journal des
Débats arrived the British frigate the day before yesterday at Cadiz coming
from Gibraltar. The commanding officer of a French brig of war responsible for
the health care send a feluc warning not to enter the bay before have being in
quarantine. While there wasn't a suitable place for this purpose at Cadiz he
was send to the hospital at Mahon. The commanding officer of the Active refused
this saying that Gibraltar was a Spanish harbour and he won't respond to other
governments and finally he entered Cadiz without the quarantine procedure. The
French frigate le Tarn departed yesterday towards Brest.
