An item dated London

December 1813 reported that the day before 16 transports left Harwich
transporting the 2nd regiment hussars of the German legion destined
for the Netherlands.
Also were 500 guards which were assembled as volunteers form the several
militia regiments were also on board. Another Dutch newspaper Staatkundig
Dagblad van de Rhyn-monden dated 1 February 1814 published also an item
dated London 28 December that on 25 December 16 transports left Harwich for
Holland with the 2nd regiment hussars of the German legion on board,
The 500 volunteers were to depart on the 29th.
