Movements of the Greeks and Turkish navies in February-March 1822 according to the Dutch newspaper Goessche Courant dated 15 February 1822

The Turkish fleet lying in the Dardanelles was to be fitted out as soon as possible and after having embarked a corps soldiers on board of the transports, to depart immediately towards the coast of Morea. The Greek admiralty was in the meantime making preparations to intercept the Turkish squadron to prevent her landing the troops.
