Russian emperor with Dutch warships towards the United Kingdom according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 3 June 1844

The Hague, 2 June. The Russian emperor (1) went 31 May at Rotterdam on board of the Dutch steamship Zr. Ms. Cycloop (2) and departed escorted by the Dutch steamboats Zr. Ms. Cerberus (3) and Merapi (4) towards England. According to the same newspaper dated 5 June arrived apparently the 3 ships in the night of 1-2 June at the Thames.

1. That must be Nicolas I (6 July 1796-2 March 1855), emperor between 1 December 1825-2 March 1855. His sister Anna Pavlova was married to the Dutch King Willem II.

Wolterbeek between 3 July-20 September 1856, stricken in 1863, dimensions 52,00 x 10,00 x 4,80 metres, displacement of 546 tons and an armament of 8 guns, decision dated 31 July 1840 to sing contract with the Ned. Stoomboot Mij. to deliver on 15 April 1843 engines and boilers for ƒ 152.500,00, barque-rigged and 220 hp horsepower.
