An item reported that the American shipping authorities which until now just lent cargo capacity now also decided to charter ships, principal Liberty ships. The USA possessed around of these ships which were to be divided between Dutch, Greek and Norwegian governments. These countries asked the USA already in the past without hardly any success for ships to compensate their losses during the Second World War.
