Naval strength of the Dutch East Company at Malacca in 1683

In 1683 a list was made of the ships, vessels and so on, belonging to the Dutch East Company. For most of the ships was given an indication of her condition, sometimes what kind of ship, her measurement and the first time she was outward bound. I added to each vessels some information using other sources.
Classification ‘A’ suitable for all fairways.
Classification ‘B’ suitable for calm fairways like in the Eastern provinces, Malacca, Siam, West Coast of Sumatra, Palembang and Jambij.
Huijs te Cleef, yacht, classification ‘between A and B’, 350 last, first outward bound to the Dutch East Indies 1675. Had to be repaired at Onrust within short time as soon as she arrived back from Malacca. If not, it was to be expected that this well sailing yacht lost her value, despite the fact she was just 8 years old and continuously well taken care of. According to the Daghregister of Batavia, arrived she at Batavia coming from the island Banca 22 November 1683. According to Van Stapel a pinnace, Chamber Amsterdam, built 1674, dimensions 130 x 32 x 13¾, height above 6½. According to Bruijn a pinnace or a yacht, 564 metric tons tonnage, built 1674 at Amsterdam, departed Texel 24 January 1675, master Gerrit Albertsz Schellinger, via Plymouth where she stayed 15 days, via S. Tiago, stayed at Cape of Good Hope 9 June (another source 12 May)-7 July 1675, arrived at Batavia 16 August 1675 with 101 sailors (departure 120), 61 soldiers (departure 66) and 11 passengers (departure 11). Wrecked near the so-called Duizend eilanden (“Thousand Islands) when she sailed towards Palembang (1 September 1684).
