The American navy magazine and ordnance works at Pensacola according to the Senate executive documents 1857-1858

Thanks to the fact that nowadays more and more books are digitized we are able to read books that are some times for decades no longer available for the public for several reasons. That's quite a pity while these books contains useful information while the archives are destroyed, incomplete or nor accessible.
P. 663: “At this station there has been expended upon the wall around the shell house, and for repairs of magazine, &c, the sum of $ 1,050.38; and for the necessary repairs of the buildings, fences, &c., during the next fiscal year, there will be required $ 1,000.
