The British navy towards Nicaragua according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 4 January 1850

London newspaper dated 2 January reported that recently rear admiral Hornby commanding the British naval force in the South Sea was ordered to go at once with all available ships to Nicaragua to support the British interests. In the mean time received vice admiral lord Dundonald commanding the British naval force in the West Indies a similarly order to go the Mosquito coast.
