The French navy in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 23 August 1824

Paris, 18 August. A private letter dated Cadiz 27 July reported that vice admiral baron Duperra hoisted his flag on board of the le Trident (1) and anchored with 4 frigates near Rota 24 July after first passing Cadiz. The next day joined rear admiral de[s] Rotours (14) on board of the ship the line le Santi Petri (2) with his division the admiral. Yesterday morning left the squadron consisting of the 2 mentioned ships of the line, the frigates l’Amphytrite(3), l’Amazone (4), la Vestale (5), l’Armide (6), la Nymphe (7), l’Hermione (8), la Themis (9) and la Junon (10), the brig le Zebre (11) and the goelettes la Pauvrette (12) and la Dauphinoise (13). The admirals’ flag was hoisted on board of the l’Amphytrite.
