The
Austrian newspaper Beobachter published a tiding dated Constantinople 3 May
according to which the Sultan left 29 February 10.00 o’clock Bujukdere with the
beautiful frigate Nusretie towards Varana. While saluted by gunfire she sailed
towards the Bosporus accompanied by two Austrian steamboats to tow her in case
there wasn’t enough wind. This happened indeed and she arrived while towed next
day 14.00 o’clock at Varna.
