Dutch merchant ship Jonge Marie and the British, French and Turkish navies at Smyrna according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 17 April 1837

Smyrna, 18 March. Yesterday morning left the Dutch brig ship Jonge Marie master G.J. Meeuw the port destined towards Rotterdam but without a sufficient health certificate due to the fact that since 14 days nearly every day the plague made victims. All French warships left Smyrna fearing for the plague Smyrna, just 2 British corvettes and a Turkish frigate remained.
