Vessels of the Spanish Constitution party active in the Strait and off the coast of Andalusia coast according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 17 December 1824

Madrid, 2 December. The appearance off the coast of Andalusia of some vessels of the ‘Constitution party’ caused the Royal order that it was not allowed to supply accommodation to suspicious persons and officers with half payment in sea villages. It seems almost certain that this party captured the island Ivica and not Majorca and that some of their vessels were cruising in the Strait while recently captured a Spanish vessel destined towards Cadiz with around 60 oxen on board.
