Russian navy building submarines with American labourers and design according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 15 March 1905

An item reported that in a remote part of the harbour of Sevastopol was started with the building of 8 submarines. Built according to the newest American design by labourers coming from the USA. They were to be completed 4 months. The number of usable submarines was then 25.
