Built in 1851 at the Washington Navy Yard and commissioned winter 1852-1853. On 3 June 1864 captured by the Confederate States and commissioned in their navy without being renamed. On 19 December she was burned at White Bluff, California, USA to prevent recapture by the Union forces. With a displacement of 464 tons were her dimensions 50 x 7,42 x 3,58 metres or 163’ x 24’4”x 11’9”. Her crew numbered 64 men.
