Ship Wilhelmsburg lost of the Dutch island Terschelling according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 10 December 1863

An item dated Den Helder the 9th reported that a day earlier tidings from Texel were received dealing with the disaster of the Wilhelmsburg captain Kroes. Underway from Hamburg, Germany towards Moreton Bay, Australia with 300 passengers was she lost during the heavy gale on the 4th off Terschelling with just 17 survivors.
