American ship William Nelson burned at sea according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Courant van Den Helder dated 22 July 1865

An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 21st referred to tidings from Dreischor the 16th reporting that the American ship William Nelson which left the 1st of June Antwerp, Belgium towards the USA with on board 26 immigrants of Dreischor was lost by fire on 27th June at full sea with until now just a few survivors included 7 from Dreischor which arrived safely with the Mercury at Le Havre, France. Survivors and missing persons were all related to each other.
