Dutch screw steamship Noord-Holland disappeared according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated 16 December 1858

An item reported that was feared for the fate of the Dutch iron-built screw steamship Noord-Holland of the Nederlandsche Stoombootmaatschappij of Amsterdam, Netherlands. She left 4 weeks earlier Stockholm, Sweden with a cargo of iron bound for Amsterdam, Netherlands and disappeared. Normally she made voyage within 3 days. On board were 15 men all married with totally 60 children.
