An item reported the arrival at Willemstad, Curacao on last Sunday of the Danish-flagged schooner Independence coming via Cumarebo from Maracaibo with on board Louis Brion commanding officer of the Colombian navy to recover his health on the island.(1)

1. Philippus Lodovicus (Felipe Luis) Brión Detrox (6 July 1782 Curacao-27 September 1821 Curacao) who was admiral of the navy of Venezuela and Gran Colombia. He died of tuberculosis.
