Spanish and Colombian naval strengths compared according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 20 July 1822

The Spanish possessed  ships with a total armament of 76 guns consisting of 1-44 gun frigate, 1-22 gun brig, 1-5 gun schooner and 4 flecheras with totally 5 guns. The Colombians possessed 16 ships/vessels with a total armament of 82 guns consisting of 3 brigs with totally 36 guns, 6 schooners with totally 32 guns, 1-8gun chebecq and 6 flecheras with totally 6 guns.
